Hacking the Humanities WS 2019

This course will introduce students to the computer-aided research methodology in humanities. Students will learn how to use programming language Python, analyze textual data and visualise their findings. They will also learn how to process their data using ready-made software, like MALLET and QGIS. Next to methodology used in the humanities research, this course will also introduce students to some of the main areas of research and theoretical debates within the Digital Humanities. No programming knowledge or technical expertise is assumed. More information on the course can be found in the syllabus.
